先檢查各設(shè)備上的削波指示燈是否亮著，如并未發(fā)現(xiàn)削波指示燈連續(xù)亮，則可以選擇系統(tǒng)靠中間的一臺設(shè)備把音量降低幾個dB，以判斷是該設(shè)備的前面已有削波失真，還是在該設(shè)備后面才產(chǎn)生的削波失真。如此經(jīng)過幾次調(diào)節(jié)音量控制器，即可判斷削波來自哪一級。一般來說，確實是信號過強引起的削波，則應(yīng)在前級設(shè)備上就將音量電平降下來，如屬設(shè)備故障（如設(shè)備內(nèi)的工作電源不正?；蜇摲答佂烽_路等）則須更換設(shè)備。
